Millbury Town Selectman Francis B. King and Scales Restaurant sponsored a Crock Pot Cook-Off and Wine Tasting event on Sunday afternoon to raise money for the Millbury Bicentennial and the Millbury Senior Center.

Entrants competed against each other by preparing a covered dish and there were plenty to pick from. All were outstanding in their own right as attendees were free to sample each while voting for their own top three.

A wine and beer tasting was supplied by Wine Nation and a nice selection of wines and Samuel Adams beers and ales were on hand. There was a nice large turnout and everyone got plenty to eat and drink. The counting of the ballots for the top three dishes was conducted by Sen. Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) and Town Selectmen Chair E. Bernard Plante.

First Place - Linda Ragaini
Second Place - Mary Clark
Third Place - Joe Ragaini

Next year's event according to King will be in the second week of October and will benefit the Millbury Bicentennial and Butler Farms.
