MILLBURY, Mass. - The Millbury Council on Aging and the Lions Club hosted a Senior Dinner on Thursday evening at the Millbury Senior Center.

The main dining room was packed with over 175 seniors and volunteers as the guests were treated to a turkey dinner that was served by members of the Lions Club.

The Lions Club was helped out by members of the Girl Scouts who volunteered to help serve meals to the seniors.

Judy O'Connor, executive director of the Senior Center, was effusive in her praise of the Lions Club and the turnout. "We had a wonderful turnout," she said. "The Lions Club always goes all out every year and its a nice way to celebrate the end of the winter."

She added, "the food was fantastic, the seniors had turkey, potatoes and the Lions always make this salad which everyone raves about, and they always bring enough so that there are leftovers for the next day's lunch."

Check out theDailyMillbury.com calendar for all the goings on at the center. Keep an evening planned in March open; the senior class at Millbury High has a senior dance with the seniors. More details to come.
